1805 - The Michigan Territory was established in the United States of America.
1830 - The towns of Grand Rapids on the east side of the Wisconsin River, and Centralia on the west side of the river, were founded in Crawford County, Michigan Territory. Iowa County was formed from a portion of Crawford County.
1834 - Milwaukee County was formed from portions of Iowa County and Brown County.
1836 - The Wisconsin Territory was created from a portion of the Michigan Territory. Dane County was formed from portions of Iowa County, Crawford County and Milwaukee County, and Portage County was formed from portions of Iowa County, Brown County, Crawford County and Milwaukee County.
1837 - Grant County was formed from a portion of Iowa County, and Green County was formed from a portion of Iowa County.
1838 - Portage County received land from Crawford County, which included the town of Centralia.
1841 - Portage County received land from Brown County, which included the town of Grand Rapids.
1848 - On 29 May, Wisconsin became the 30th state in the United States of America.
1847 - Lafayette County was formed from a portion of Iowa County, Wisconsin, USA, which is Lafayette County's present day boundries.
